Working for OregonOur vision is to be the principal source of high performance business and technical assistance for Oregon's small to mid-sized manufacturers and the partner of choice for the economic development community. Our emphasis on transforming companies goes beyond the factory floor to create a ripple effect of positive sustainable impact on the business, the workforce, and the community. Our consultants provide Lean Enterprise training and implementation assistance to a wide variety of industry sectors. We collaborate with the national network of Manufacturing Extension Partnership resource centers in over 400 locations nationwide, providing integrated and standardized services so you can benefit from industry driven best processes and practices. (learn more ») Each center works directly with area manufacturers to provide expertise and services tailored to their most critical needs. Our expertise is provided on a fee for service basis. Opportunities for federal and state grants to supplement our fees may be available. State and Regional PartnersOMEP is an integral part of Oregon's statewide manufacturing strategy (learn more ») and is a partner with the Oregon Economic & Community Development Department (OECDD), as well as other economic development organizations across the state. We're strategically affiliated with the Oregon Institute of Technology (OIT) and we also work directly with community colleges to meet the needs of local manufacturers. In the private sector, we partner with a number of industry associations and consortia including the Northwest High Performance Enterprise Consortium (NWHPEC) and the Northwest Food Processors Association (NWFPA). By working with a wide variety of state and regional partners, OMEP is able to provide companies with the greatest access to high performance training assistance. |
