Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce to Host OMEP

OMEP’s Chris Scherer will lead a discussion of growth strategies at the Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce on December 13th from 7:30 am to 9:00 am. Consistent with the Chamber’s strong interest in providing expanded services for local manufacturers and supporting local economic growth and job creation, company executives have been invited to a continental breakfast where they will hear a presentation, entitled “It’s Not Luck”, devoted to six growth strategies identified in a national study prepared by the American Small Business Coalition.

These strategies have been identified as critical elements on the path to global competitiveness. According to the study, while most companies are in agreement regarding the importance of the strategies, most are not “world class” in their degree of implementation.
At the Chamber session, Company executives will have the chance learn more about the strategies and their elements, to share their experiences in these areas, and to learn what others in the region have done to better prepare themselves in an increasingly competitive global economy. On the basis of the feedback received during from the audience, OMEP will work with the Chamber to present an on-going series devoted topics related to manufacturing growth.
