The Oregon Manufacturing Extension Partnership (OMEP) is accepting applicants for Manufacturing Consultants. OMEP is a not-for-profit team of manufacturing professionals whose mission is to help small to mid-sized Oregon manufacturers transform the way they do business and become more competitive. OMEP is part of the national MEP program administered by the Department of Commerce through the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Our consultants assist Oregon manufacturers in increasing productivity, profitability and top line growth.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or other appropriate discipline, extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, experience in manufacturing innovation and process improvement using Lean concepts, manufacturing management and technical consulting experience, familiarity with the financial and operating issues of small to medium sized businesses, and exceptional professional skills (management, marketing, presentation and communication, e-literacy and teamwork).
All positions are dependent upon appropriate levels of federal and state funding.
