Manufacturing Day 2017!
Home 9 Business Financials & Strategy 9 Manufacturing Day 2017!

October 6, 2017, marks the seventh annual National Manufacturing Day (MFG Day). In 2011 this national holiday was designed to expand knowledge about and improve public perception of manufacturing careers and manufacturing’s value to the U.S. economy. To celebrate, companies and organizations around the U.S. have ‘joined the movement’ and created local events to acknowledge the contributions of manufacturing.

Based on the success of last year’s many events, including a visit by former U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker OMEP is proud to present a large selection of Manufacturing Day events in Oregon this year. Over 110 manufacturers are opening their doors!

These events provide an opportunity for our local manufacturers, including many that OMEP has had the privilege to work with, to open their doors to people of all ages to show what manufacturing in Oregon really means.

Stay tuned for photos and highlights from 10/6/17. If you have stories you’d like to feature, send them to us.

OMEP would like to thank all the generous sponsors that make these events possible, including:
