An Update on the 2020 Oregon Manufacturers’ Summit
Home 9 Business Financials & Strategy 9 An Update on the 2020 Oregon Manufacturers’ Summit

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, OMEP has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Oregon Manufacturers’ Summit scheduled for October 9th

In lieu of the statewide in-person event, we will be presenting a series of regional manufacturing summits throughout 2020 and 2021. These intimate virtual and in-person events will allow you to experience innovations in manufacturing, manufacturing best practices and emerging technologies safely.

We will be bringing the same quality content, thoughtful discussion, and insights you value at the Statewide Summit to these regional summits. Regional summits will also be enhanced through partnerships with local economic development agencies and resource groups. The areas we are considering for regional events are Portland, Salem, Eugene, The Dalles, Medford, and Bend.

Our team is also in the process of re-designing Ready Or Not, our business strategy game, to work in a virtual environment. They keynote from Jaime Schmidt will still be available, and attendees will receive a copy of her book, Supermaker

Lessons from the game and from Jaime Schmidt about resilience, perseverance, and pivoting, have never been more applicable or timely.

Please Sign Up for Regional Summit Information and also save the date for the next statewide Oregon Manufacturers’ Summit, to be held March 11, 2022.

Regarding Payments

We will be closing our event account with Universe, the ticket vendor through which you registered for the 2020 Summit. We will hold your funds and apply them to the regional summit event in your area, or we can refund the ticket cost you already paid. We will be providing the same valuable content, including the Ready or Not Strategy Game, and the debut book from speaker Jaime Schmidt, in our regional events.

We are currently holding those funds to reserve your space at your nearest regional summit, but please let us know within 2 weeks if you prefer a refund.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility at this time and we look forward to seeing you at our regional summits.
