Food Northwest: FSMA Preventive Controls for Human Food
September 25 @ 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
On September 17, 2015, the FDA published final rules for Preventive Controls for Human Food. According to Part 117.180(c)(1) of the regulation, every food manufacturing facility covered by this regulation will need to have a “Preventative Controls Qualified Individual”(PCQI). This specialized training course will focus on the FSMA rules and because of its complex nature, will need to be attended by those who have a working understanding of the HACCP method.
The PCQI must conduct certain activities related to the Food Safety Plan (including development and preparation of the Food Safety Plan, validation of the preventive controls, records review, and reanalysis of the Food Safety Plan). Successful completion of this course is one way to meet the requirements for a Preventive Controls Qualified Individual. This course is the standardized curriculum recognized by FDA.
This 2.5-day course will be led by Richard Dougherty, Ph.D. Richard has completed the Lead Instructor Training for FSPCA Preventive Controls for Human Food.
Each attendee will receive a training manual and a certificate issued by the Association of Food and Drug Officials (AFDO).
