Introduction to 3D Printing class
May 19 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The course is provided by E::Space
An introductory level class designed to introduce participants to 3-D printing and the related software. This is an introduction to 3-D printing technology and prior experience is not necessary. The goal for this class is to teach students how to fit the technology into their existing design work flows. The student will learn how to evaluate the many models on the market to choose the best product for their needs.
The class is broken into two group sessions and one follow up individually scheduled break out session. The two group sessions are 2-hours each. The first session is focused on breaking down 3-D printing into its core elements and capabilities. The second session is focused on giving students the benefit of the instructors real world experience. From design tips to knowing what type of printer is best suited for a particular print job, this class will give you a running start into the world of 3-D printing. Homework assignments are assigned between the sessions. These homework projects are designed to help the student integrate the large amount of material covered in the group sessions.
