New Product Development for Manufacturers – Workshop

So many new products are late, over budget, or miss their targets. These problems are extremely costly for manufacturers! OMEP’s New Product Development (NPD) Workshop will help you define and achieve your product development objectives. You’ll learn what it takes to be on time and on budget. Understand your customer’s needs and give them the products they want, when they want them. Our workshop is designed for manufacturers who want to take the mystery out of new product development, and develop a solid strategy for putting new products into production.
What You Can Expect:
- Review the processes that must be in place to build an effective NPD program
- Discover the role of knowledge in NPD and how to use it as your competitive advantage
- Understand the strategy of NPD, including economics, and metrics
- Build a plan to evolve your NPD program as your company grows
The Workshop format is 2 sessions, 3 hours each.
Dates: Sept. 14 and Sept. 21
8:30am – 11:30am.
The price includes a two-hour visit to each participating company. Site visits will be scheduled at the first session. We encourage at least three participants from each company, to deepen the benefits of the hands-on exercises.
About the Instructor:
John Lamy has over thirty years of experience helping large and small companies grow their businesses. John spent the majority of his career in Silicon Valley R&D and consulting. He has a BS in electrical engineering from MIT, and an MBA from Cornell.
