Together, OMEP and OMIC R&D have partnered to create an advanced manufacturing technology lab designed for Oregon’s small and mid-sized manufacturers
This lab will empower manufacturers to adopt current and emerging technologies that are driving productivity around the globe. The Factory of Tomorrow allows companies to ‘learn by doing’ through interactive experiences.
Hands-on, engaging, and educational, the lab provides a space for companies to test technologies, and achieve proof of concept for adopting new technologies before investing.
Lab users will go through a 5-station simulation including pre-assembly training, work instructions, ‘pick and place’ movements, recording assembly cycle times, and product quality inspections, with the end goal of assembling a CNC cutting tool.
Lab users will experience:
- Virtual Reality
- Augmented Reality
- 3D printing
- IoT Connected Devices
- Data Analytics Software
- Cloud-Based Software
Integrated technologies demonstrate that Smart Factories and Industry 4.0 advanced technologies are within reach
The Factory of Tomorrow demonstrates real-world applications in a low volume, high mix environment.
Made possible by our partnerships with national, regional, state and local organizations, The Factory of Tomorrow is here to offer new opportunities for the real-world application of advanced manufacturing technologies.
