Cascade Alchemy is operated by three friends with a passion for spirits—Joe Hale, Tyler Fradet and James Hale. Starting on a shoestring budget, the three partners have built Cascade Alchemy into a premier distillery through devotion and hard work. Their six signature Spirits combine a passion for distilling with their love for the beautiful Central Oregon environment—a perfect place to build a superb distillery. At Cascade Alchemy, they use simple, all-natural ingredients and local botanicals to produce distinctively NW spirits.
Cascade Alchemy was ready to take the next step in their company’s journey. They were establishing their brand in a crowded market, and sought to grow their market recognition and sales volume through strategic marketing. The craft distillery market continues to ride a high growth curve, with new companies entering the market in large volumes. Cascade Alchemy did not want to be lost in the mix. It was time to focus on their remarkable selling points, honing in on what makes their spirits stand out. Additionally, the founders created their business based on a love and passion for home brewing. They knew that running a company takes a business minded skillset and knowledge base, and they were looking to OMEP to help them grow their business acumen so they could make even better business decisions.
OMEP partnered with Resonant Agency to provide Cascade Alchemy with a formal marketing strategy, and built out a strategic social media campaign. Through business mentoring and coaching provided by OMEP Cascade Alchemy did marketing experiments to understand how to increase their brand awareness and sales. Before working with Resonant, Cascade Alchemy participated in the hands-on Business Innovation workshop offered by OMEP, where they learned how to apply operational excellence initiatives, and utilize their financials to support sound business decisions.
Leveraging their quality product and increased marketing efforts, Cascade Alchemy is on track for record sales in 2016 at almost triple sales from 2015. A key output from the marketing project was the new tag line, “Your taste, Your spirit.” Working with Cascade Alchemy, OMEP was able to increase business skillsets of the leadership team so they are prepared for future growth.
